“[T]hings both in heaven and in the earth, and under the earth; things which have been, things which are, things which must shortly come to pass; things which are at home, things which are abroad; the wars and the perplexities of the nations, and the judgments which are on the land; and a knowledge also of countries and of kingdoms—” Doctrine and Covenants 88:79

  • Bailin' on Palin

In case there are any Republican bosses / campaign strategists reading this blog, here’s a recommendation: drop Palin. She seems like a lovely lady, but truthfully she’s in over her head.

Instead, why not capitalize on the economic crisis by bringing Romney on board? I’m not really a Romney booster, but it sort of makes sense. Seems that we’re in a jam, and Mitt Romney is renowned for his ability to rescue doomed operations (like the U.S. economy at the moment 😉 )

The vice presidential debate is going to be a bloodbath. Yikes!

  • When Vader Bails People Out…

Raghuram G. Rajan, former chief economist at the International Monetary Fund said:

Where are the titans of the financial sector at this point? Why aren’t they coming together in a room at the New York Fed and saying, “This is a severe crisis for the financial system and we are going to put up some of our own money to refloat the system.” They should find ways to ensure that the public is not giving a windfall to the financial sector, because it will actually hurt them in the long run. The taxpayer is not in a forgiving mood.

Or, to paraphrase Darth Vader, “The taxpayer is not as forgiving as I am!”
