Why…

…are eBooks embracing DRM while online music stores are abandoning it? What’s the difference aside from a couple of megabytes?

    That is a great question. I think that they will follow the same path as music did. When the iPod first came out and began its strangle hold on the music market, DRM was embraced. Then after other alternatives have come out and there has been a massive public outcry, they finally decided to change things. We will see the same thing happen with the Kindle. Competition and public outcry will eventually fix this issue, unfortunately, until then we are stuck.
